ShowerGlyde Model SG2 is a sliding transfer bench designed to fit in an environment with a toilet adjacent to the tub. Similar to SG1, SG2 slides effortlessly over the tub and locks in two points; on the inside and outside of the tub. A longer set of rails accommodates the use of the commode over the abutting toilet.
- SG2 can be assembled as a left or right-hand unit.
- One grab bar installed at the wall-side of the rails is included for support in sliding.
- SG2 is height adjustable allowing clearance of up to a 19.5” tub.
- Optional extension legs are available for taller tub lips (up to 25”).
- SG2 also comes standard with a seatbelt and a seat with 3 options; an open commode seat for over toilet use, a reducer ring, and a solid seat insert.
- The ShowerGlyde SG2 weighs 26.5lbs with a weight capacity of 330lbs.

Which Model Do I need?
Not all bathroom layouts are the same. That's why we designed three models which would fit 90% of all bathrooms. If there are no obstructions near the tub consider SG1. If you have a toilet near the tub, consider model SG2 as it can slide over the toilet. If there is a vanity or limited space, consider SG3, which has a small footprint and is able to swivel. Will ShowerGlyde clear a high tub?
ShowerGlyde can clear a 19-inch tub. We offer an extension accessory that can clear a 25-inch high tub.
Can all ShowerGlyde’s swivel?
Only ShowerGlyde Model 3 comes with a standard swivel seat. You may purchase a swivel seat for models 1 and 2 on the ShowerGlyde accessory page.
Will the ShowerGlyde rust?
ShowerGlyde will not rust. SG is made of aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel components.
Do ShowerGlyde’s have arm rests?
Optional armrests, featuring flip-back and height-adjustable capabilities, are available.
